Dealer Spotlight: Liz's Hardware

Liz's Hardware is owned by author, curator, and residential hardware expert, Liz Gordon. Liz opened her Los Angeles shop at in 1992 in a former dry cleaning building. The space is now filled from floor to ceiling with antique, vintage, and contemporary door, window, and furniture hardware, lighting, and all kinds of bath accessories.

Liz has pieces ranging in vintage from the 1860s through the 1960s and also carries new luxury hardware like Emtek. Her displays are a feast for the eyes and are a great way to visualize the combining of old and new hardware styles.

Many of the vintage and antique hardware pieces were saved from remodels and demolitions, mostly from homes, or former hotels, banks, department stores, and other buildings that had specialty pieces. This not only preserves the history but contributes to environmental sustainability with pieces being given new life instead of going into landfills.

In addition to the antique, vintage, and contemporary door, window, and furniture hardware, lighting, and bath accessories at Liz's Hardware, she has an upstairs gallery called The Loft. By combining art and live events, the Loft attracts visitors from across the globe. Like Liz’s Hardware, the Loft is a collection and declaration of beauty and design – a place to find exquisite works of art, vintage curiosities and design objects.
